Internal Communications - Enterprise Initiatives
In my next role at Best Buy, I continued to support the communications functions of the broader team in the areas below, but had added responsibilities in the areas of enterprise-wide communications. I partnered with internal stakeholders to roll out initiatives related to Best Buy's strategic growth, including initiatives related to company sustainability, social impact, health care and innovation and transformation. Additionally, I ran the Think Blue program, an on-campus guest speaker series. I built professional partnerships between Best Buy and notable individuals from both inside and outside the world of technology.

Curator - Minneapolis
I serve as the curator (leader) of the Minneapolis Hub of the Global Shapers. Global Shapers is an initiative of the World Economic Forum. The program is a network of Hubs developed and led by young people under the age of 30 who are committed to addressing local, regional and global challenges. In each Hub, Shapers self-organize to create projects that address the needs of their communities.

Internal Communications - Contract Specialist
I joined Best Buy to assist on the Internal Communications team. In this role, I pitched, wrote, and edited content for internal company vehicles, including graphic signage, public-facing web, and print magazines. I helped coordinate on-campus company events, including employee engagement events, executive meetings and quarterly earnings disclosures. I also assisted with event briefings for company executives, including the CEO.

I returned to Hirenomics, a boutique executive search firm in Edina, MN, after living in Cambodia to help the firm with some short-term, high-priority operational efficiency projects during a period of strategic growth. Not only did I continue to manage the day-to-day affairs of the organization, spearhead marketing and development initiatives in the Twin Cities business community, and oversee multiple employee transitions, I also built out extensive metric-tracking excel programs, and worked with an operational efficiency expert to create long-lasting, efficient operational strategies for the next employee to fill this role long-term.

Fair Trade Marketing and Sales Manager
I oversaw all marketing and communications for a locally-owned nonprofit store that focuses on the expansion of fair trade goods' availability in the global economic sphere. I also educated consumers on the driving principles of fair trade economics through in-person sales, digital marketing and local nonprofit partnerships in order to drive successful sales for the store and its artisan partners around the world.

Experience Interpreter for the Campaign for the ELCA
During a short-term position with the Campaign for the ELCA, I synthesized the stories I witnessed the campaign for the ELCA transform, and 'interpreted' this stories for donors and potential donors via sermons, presentations, and one-on-one meetings. I worked to connect individuals with missions and programs that match their passions.. My actions helped the campaign to raise significant major gifts towards its $198 million, 5-year goal during my short tenure.

Young Adults in Global Mission Volunteer
in Kruos Village, Cambodia
Full time volunteer, living and working at the Kruos Village Church and Life Center in Kruos Village, Cambodia. Primary duties include: teaching English and developing language curriculum for the church's after-school language program (for beginners to advanced students), teaching English in a local government school under government curriculum, developing nutritious menus and record-keeping for the center's Daily Bread meal program (feeding 50 undernourished children one meal on weekdays), and writing/editing grant requests and reports for a wide range of stakeholders for all the center's programming, including it's agricultural development program (in which over 200 farmers receive education on sustainable, alternative crop growth and economical animal husbandry).

At Hirenomics, a boutique executive search firm in Edina, MN,, I was charged with managing and developing key market outreach strategies. During my time with the company, I completed major marketing projects including redesigning our company webpage, developing all-new marketing materials for a new child-company, streamlining current marketing materials (including building case studies and customized pitch books), developing a company-wide style guide, and connecting Hirenomics to press relations. Additionally, I managed all internal office affairs. Iimplemented a comprehensive employee benefits program, built out an HR program, facilitated all billing and revenue (on a $1.2 million fiscual revenue year), and managed payroll and all office expenses.  I frequently filled additional roles as office administrator and administrative assistant.

For the past three summers, I have lead a summer performing arts and leadership program for 75+ youth ages 12-18 through the Washington County 4-H Arts-In program. My job includes writing a 30-min musical for the youth to perform during the country fair, managing a large number of adult volunteers and technical staff, controlling a very limited program budget, and soliciting donations for said budget through private donors, government funding, and foundation grants. In addition to working with this particular program, I am a registered and active adult leader at our local 4-H Club, the Riverside Routers.

After multiple years of working on the staff in various positions for two of St. Olaf's premier student publications, I was appointed to editorial leadership roles. At the St. Olaf chapter of the nationally-branded Her Campus online magazine, I managed a staff of 20 writers, editors, and social media specialists, utilized Google Analytics to optimize publication performance, and was in charge of on-campus outreach. At the St. Olaf student newspaper The Manitou Messenger, I pitched stories and thoroughly edited the Arts & Entertainment section on a weekly basis using Adobe InDesign software. In both positions I gained a strong understanding of content editing, AP style guidelines, and effective staff management.  Here are links to my written work on Her Campus and The Manitou Messenger.

Outreach Intern for Livable Communities
At the Metropolitan Council, I helped write and implement a cohesive outreach strategy for the $22 million Livable Communities grant program, funded my the Minnesota state legislature to support innovative urban and suburban development in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan region. During my internship, I began the process of developing an online database of over 80 past grant awardees that was inlign with the Council's redesign standards and utilized the Kentico Computer Management System. I also created and implemented a variety of outreach methods for the grant's stakeholders using email, web development, and paper marketing.

I serve as the point person for all registration related issues for the Minnesota International NGO Network's annual Summit conference, a large gathering of professionals in the Twin Cities who's work relates to the topic of global development. My role includes coordinating Eventbrite registration, working with Marketing and Logistics teams, tracking all incoming registration, questions and concerns, and organizing any day-of registration details.
